About Josh Mahan

Josh Mahan is a bi-coastal Art Director originally from North Carolina. His commercial clients include Cartoon Network, NBC, TBS, Marvel, Vice and Hasbro. His holiday promo for Oxygen Network (2019) won Promax gold and silver awards.

His work has been lauded by critics from Variety to the New York Times. Entertainment Weekly called his set design work “…the Sistine Chapel of stop-motion.” Variety has called his work “Inspired.”

His most recent roles include Animator on Dean Fleischer-Camp’s Marcel the Shell with Shoes On (2022), Art Director on the first season of Steven Conrad’s animated series Ultra City Smiths for AMC+ (2021) and season two of Vernon Chatman’s The Shivering Truth for Cartoon Network. (2020), The short film The Grave Of St. Oran with director Jim Batt and narration by Neil Gaiman (2019), and Art Director on the short film Bartleby with directors Laura Naylor & Kristen Kee (2017).
